The WCCM-USA School of Meditation – Essential Teaching Weekend (ETW)

The Essential Teaching Weekend (ETW), offered through the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM) School of Meditation, is a weekend experience for meditators who wish to deepen their practice of Christian Meditation and explore how they might share this gift with others. Rooted in the teachings of Father John Main OSB, Father Laurence Freeman OSB, and the wider contemplative tradition, the weekend offers a rich blend of practice, reflection, and communal learning.

ETW provides generous space for silence, peaceful reflection, and meaningful conversation in the company of others walking a similar spiritual path. Through guided meditation, teaching sessions, workshops, and shared dialogue, participants are invited to deepen their understanding of the practice, the tradition that sustains it, and the spiritual journey it fosters.

The weekend is participative and experiential, drawing on both personal practice and the wisdom of the Christian contemplative tradition. There will be opportunities to ask questions, engage in small-group activities, and build community with fellow meditators in a supportive, prayerful environment.

The registration fee includes lodging and meals for the full duration of the weekend event.  We also offer an option for commuters.
