Maggie Hettinger

Born into a large musical family, became a church musician at a young age, shared folk songs and songs and games with Girl Scouts of all ages. Flutist, pianist, organist, happy guitar player. Trained in music education (major influences Carl Orff, Richard Spalding, Francis Fuge).  Wife of Frank Hettinger and mother of four wonderful daughters. Taught classroom music and band for elementary school. Taught K – 2 primary. Learned to fly at age 55 and discovered  a love of soaring in gliders. Grandmother, gardener and mushroom enthusiast. Currently Organist at St. Vincent Church with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Choir. Volunteer for Citizens’ Climate Lobby. Concerned with passing on simpler, happier, sustainable ways of living and repairing the damage, however unwitting, that our generation has done to Earth and its people.
